The U.S. plays its next game, against the
Dominican Republic, on Wednesday night before playing Puerto Rico on August 22.
The team will play Slovenia at Fran
Canaria Arena in Spain before the FIBA World Cup starts on August 30.
The United States is in Group C along with
Finland, the Dominican Republic, New Zealand, Turkey, and Ukraine. If it
doesn’t win the World Cup, then it will have to participate in the 2015
qualifying for the 2016 Olympics.
Team USA will kick off play on Saturday,
August 30 against Finland before playing Turkey a day later.
It will play New Zealand on September 2,
the Dominican Republic on September 3, and Ukraine on September 4.
The top four teams in each group then
advance to the next round.
